Guys, you are under observation, and if you do not change your tactics, you will face sanctions from the US, European Union, Canada and Australia, David Arakhamia, an Ukrainian MP of Georgian origin, told Mtavari TV channel on Sunday in reference to the entourage of Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of the ruling Georgian Dream party labeled as a shadow ruler by the domestic opposition.

In his interview, Arakhamia claimed Ukraine wished to retain  friendly ties with Georgia and was making warnings at the initial stage.

He also said Mikheil Saakashvili, the former  Georgian president who was arrested in Tbilisi in 2021, “must be handed” to Kyiv as a citizen of Ukraine and stressed if Tbilisi released Nika Gvaramia, the convicted head of Mtavari channel for embezzlement, he would personally request the Ukrainian  president to re-appoint an ambassador to Georgia, recalled shortly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Arakhamia, who is frequently slammed by the GD authorities for backing a”destructive” UNM party, also claimed 70 percent of his speeches were dedicated to the topics of Ukraine and 30 percent to Georgia.

He added he “constantly urged” the west “not to forget Georgia”, and allow its Euro-Atlantic integration.
