Head of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Tengiz Tsertsvadze says that Pfizer coronavirus vaccine data may expire until individuals manage to receive it.

Tsertzvadze says that the German-US Pfizer is one of the best vaccines and it would be ‘extremely regrettable’ if they spoil.

As of now more than 800,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine are available in Georgia, while the daily vaccination rate has dropped in the country to 6,000-7,000 from around 20,000.

More than 1.7 million individuals have been vaccinated in the country with their one dose since March 2021.

More than 740,000 of the 1.7 million have been fully vaccinated.
