Georgian and Turkish defence ministers discuss regional security in phone call

Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani and his Turkish counterpart Yaşar Güler on Friday discussed regional security and bilateral cooperation in the defence sector during a telephone conversation.

The Ministry’s press office said the ministers reviewed the current situation in the wider region and discussed related security challenges.

Chikovani and Güler also reaffirmed their mutual support and expressed readiness to contribute to strengthening peace and stability in the region, the body added.
