Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze held a meeting with Nikolai Rogashchuk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Georgia.

The Government Administration on Monday said the introductory meeting had focused on the state of bilateral relations between Georgia and Belarus, highlighting positive trends in trade, economic cooperation, and agricultural development, as well as future prospects for collaboration.

“The ambassador delivered a congratulatory letter from the President of Belarus to the Prime Minister on the successful conduct of the recent local self-government elections,” the statement said.

Prime Minister Kobakhidze expressed his gratitude to Belarus for its support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, welcomed the start of the ambassador’s diplomatic mission in Georgia, and wished him success in his tenure.
