Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, held a meeting with Zhou Qian, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Georgia, officials said.

According to the Government Administration, the ambassador congratulated the Prime Minister on the ruling party’s “decisive victory” in the recent local self-government elections.

The meeting focused on the positive developments in the strategic partnership between Georgia and China, with both sides expressing a commitment to further deepen cooperation.

Ambassador Zhou also presented an official invitation from the Chinese authorities to the 8th China International Import Expo, scheduled to take place in Shanghai from 5 to 10 November.
