Irakli Kobakhidze: We Have Done a Great Deal to Weaken the So-Called Radical Opposition, and Our Efforts Have Been Successful

The opposition is fragmented and weakened, which is reflected in the conflicts emerging among its representatives, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

According to Kobakhidze, the ruling team has done a great deal to weaken what he described as the “radical opposition,” adding that these efforts have been successful and are aimed at strengthening Georgia’s democratic system.

“The opposition is fragmented and weakened. At such times, its immune system effectively collapses, its immunity declines, and this ultimately manifests itself in the conflicts we are seeing among opposition representatives. These conflicts are a consequence of the opposition’s weakness.

“We have done a great deal to weaken the so-called radical opposition. Our efforts have been successful, and all of this serves the goal of establishing a democratic system in Georgia once and for all,” Kobakhidze said.
