PM Kobakhidze meets Erdoğan in New York to discuss trade, transport, regional projects

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in New York, with the two leaders discussing bilateral relations, regional infrastructure projects and cooperation in transport and energy.

The meeting highlighted the strength of the strategic partnership between Georgia and Türkiye and the “successful cooperation” between the two countries across various sectors, the government press office said.

Particular attention was paid to the positive trend in political and economic relations. The Georgian government said Türkiye remained Georgia's largest trading partner. 

The two sides discussed major regional projects aimed at strengthening connectivity and supporting economic development.
