Georgian PM Says Ivanishvili Shared Views on Domestic and Foreign Policy at Ruling Party Meetings

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said Georgian Dream founder and honorary chairman Bidzina Ivanishvili had shared his views on key domestic and foreign policy issues during meetings at the ruling party’s headquarters on Saturday.

Speaking to journalists following the meetings, Kobakhidze said discussions had focused on current political developments and that Ivanishvili’s participation had been particularly important for party members.

“The purpose of the meetings was to discuss current issues. Both meetings addressed domestic and foreign policy matters. It was very important for party members to hear Bidzina Ivanishvili’s views and his position on specific issues. Both meetings were held in a discussion format and were very interesting,” Kobakhidze said.

The prime minister added that participants had also discussed recent developments within the country and the ruling party, alongside broader international issues.

“We discussed the processes that have taken place in the country, including within the party itself. We briefly touched on various topics. The foreign policy context is also important, and this was discussed as well. There were questions and answers,” Kobakhidze said.
