PM Kobakhidze congratulates students, teachers and parents on new academic year

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has congratulated pupils, students, teachers, university professors and parents on the start of the new academic year.

“I warmly congratulate all pupils and students, teachers, professors and parents on the start of the new academic year,” Kobakhidze wrote on social media on Tuesday. 

He extended particular congratulations to first-graders and first-year university students, saying they were beginning an important new stage of learning, personal development and new opportunities.

“Your knowledge, education and hard work will determine the strength and reliable future of our state. I believe you will achieve many successes,” he said.

Kobakhidze also highlighted the role of teachers and lecturers in educating future generations and thanked them for carrying out what he described as an important mission.

“I wish you a productive, interesting and successful academic year,” the prime minister said.
