Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has met with a delegation from BTS Group, one of Thailand’s largest conglomerates, to discuss the country’s investment climate and prospects for future cooperation, the government press office said on Thursday.
The talks focused on Georgia’s economic potential, favourable business environment and opportunities for collaboration in the banking sector, real estate and asset management.
The meeting also addressed Georgia’s role as a strategic logistics and financial hub, with particular emphasis on its geographical location and the Middle Corridor trade route connecting Europe and Asia, the press office added.
The sides discussed how the route could create additional opportunities for foreign investors, the Government Administration said.
Attention was also drawn to Georgia’s stable business environment, liberal tax policy and investment opportunities available to international businesses.
