Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has accused election-monitoring organisation the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) of misleading the public, reviving a dispute over its parallel vote tabulation (PVT) during the 2020 parliamentary elections.

Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, Kobakhidze said he was not familiar with the organisation’s latest report but dismissed its credibility, citing an error in its 2020 vote-counting calculations.

“If there is a troll-bot in Georgia, it is ISFED, which trolled the Georgian people when it falsified the PVT in 2020,” Kobakhidze said.

“The only troll-bot that comes to mind in connection with elections is the ISFED. We have an active presence on Facebook and social media in general, and we will continue to work actively,” he added.
