PM Kobakhidze appoints Ioseb Alibegashvili as governor of Samtskhe-Javakheti

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has appointed Ioseb Alibegashvili as the new state representative, or governor, of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region.

Kobakhidze met Alibegashvili at the Government Administration together with Deputy Prime Minister and Regional Development Minister Mamuka Mdinaradze, the administration said.

The meeting focused on ongoing and planned projects in the region.

Kobakhidze wished Alibegashvili success in his new position.

Alibegashvili previously served as deputy state representative of the Kvemo Kartli region.
