Georgian PM thanks Nauru president for reversing recognition of Russian-occupied regions

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze held a phone conversation with Nauru President David Adeang, thanking him for Nauru’s recent decision to withdraw its recognition of the currently Russian-occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) as independent states.
Kobakhidze expressed gratitude to Adeang for the decision and said Georgia was ready to begin negotiations aimed at establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries, his press office said on Thursday.
The two leaders also discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in various areas.
