Khatia Dekanoidze, one of the leaders of the United National Movement opposition, on Monday claimed the Georgian Dream authorities were trying to divert public attention “from poverty, from the serious social and economic problems that the Georgian people have today”.

“The ruling authorities have no idea what the Georgian people need, the interest of the Georgian people is not specifically to ban political parties, the interest of the Georgian people is not to lock opponents in prison, nor are these newly invented constitutional lawsuits, but the interest of the Georgian people is that prices are catastrophic.

The main and specific tasks are to protect the interests of the Georgian people and work on these interests, such as prices, hardship, poverty.

They are now trying to divert attention from these very serious problems, from poverty, from the serious social and economic problems that the Georgian people have today”, Dekanoidze asserted.
