Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski and Prince Harry arrived in Kyiv on Friday for official and humanitarian visits.

According to Poland’s Foreign Ministry, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski began his visit to Ukraine, where he was welcomed at Kyiv’s railway station by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.

Prince Harry also made a surprise visit to the Ukrainian capital. The Guardian reported that he and his Invictus Games Foundation team were invited to Kyiv to discuss new initiatives in support of wounded soldiers.

During his stay, the prince is expected to visit the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War, meet with 200 invited veterans, and hold talks with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

Prince Harry stressed his commitment to supporting Ukraine’s war veterans, saying he wants to “do everything possible” to help thousands of severely wounded servicemen recover.

“We cannot stop the war, but we can do everything to support the recovery process,” Prince Harry said.

This marks his second unannounced visit to Ukraine this year. In April, he met with Armed Forces veterans and civilians affected by Russia’s military aggression.

The high-profile visits come a day after Finnish President Alexander Stubb also traveled to Kyiv, where he met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on September 12.
