Interpol red notice suspect arrested in Georgia

Police in Georgia have arrested a Turkish national who was wanted internationally under an Interpol Red Notice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

Officers from the Gardabani District Division of the Kvemo Kartli Police Department detained the suspect, who had been sought by Turkish law enforcement authorities for several serious criminal offences.

The ministry said extradition procedures are now under way in accordance with the law.
