Mikhaylo Podolyak, a senior adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, says that Kyiv does not share Russia’s idea that Ukraine should accept a Swedish or Austrian model of neutrality.
Podolyak noted that Ukraine is now at war with Russia and that the security model “can only be with legally certified guarantees of Ukrainian security and not other models or options.”
He stated that Ukraine has never been a militaristic state which attacks or plans to attack its neighbors.
“That is why today Ukraine wants to have really strong allies with clearly defined security guarantees,” he said.
Podolyak once again demanded the West to ensure a non-fly zone over Ukraine.
