Kyiv to receive up to 140 modern, western tanks – Kuleba

Ukraine will receive 120-140 modern western tanks from the allies in the first stage of aid, minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said on Tuesday.  

He noted that currently the tank coalition had 12 members, although “it is too early to name all the countries of the coalition and their practical assistance, as some still have to make formal decisions according to internal procedures”. 

“I can only say that at the first stage, the armed forces of Ukraine will receive 120 to 140 modern tanks of Western models. These are Leopard 2, Challenger 2, M1 Abrams, and we hope for Leclerc,” Kuleba said.

He stressed it was not a little, but Ukraine continued to work on expanding the number.
