Levan Kharabadze appointed head of investigative service at finance ministry

Khutsishvili congratulated Kharabadze on his appointment and wished him success in the role

Georgia’s Finance Minister, Lasha Khutsishvili, has appointed Levan Kharabadze as the new head of the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance.
Kharabadze previously served as deputy head of the State Security Service of Georgia.
He was introduced to staff at a meeting attended by the outgoing head of the service, Mikheil Maglakelidze, as well as heads of the agency’s structural units.
Khutsishvili congratulated Kharabadze on his appointment and wished him success in the role. He noted that the new head has many years of experience in law enforcement and is well familiar with the specifics of the investigative service. The minister expressed confidence that efforts to prevent and detect financial and economic crime would continue actively under his leadership.
Kharabadze thanked the minister for his trust and support, highlighting the professionalism and strong sense of responsibility among the agency’s staff. He said the service would continue to carry out its duties effectively.
The minister also thanked Maglakelidze for his work, saying that under his leadership the agency had significantly improved its efficiency and technical capacity. He added that coordination between bodies within the Ministry of Finance system would continue.
Maglakelidze, for his part, thanked staff for their support and wished the new head success.
