Russian FM Sergey Lavrov says that Russia has not attacked Ukraine and has no plans to attack other countries.
In his recent statements made after a meeting with Ukrainian FM Dmytro Kuleba in Antalya, Turkey, Lavrov claimed that Ukraine had been a threat to Russia for a long time, and that Kyiv had plans to invade Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
He also accused Ukraine and Kyiv of ‘confidential lab experiments for chemical weapons,’ noting that ‘it is no surprise the US and Kyiv refuse to admit to this.’
Lavrov also said that the weapons which are being sent to Ukrainians to defend themselves in the war against Russia could be used against civilian planes (by Ukraine).
Kuleba said after the meeting that he raised an issue of a 24-hour ceasefire for a humanitarian corridor, especially in the city of Mariupol which is intensively bombed by Russian troops.
However, with no result. He said that talks are expected to continue.
It was the first meeting between Kuleba and Lavrov since the outbreak of hostilities on February 24.
