The United National Movement will hold a party congress at the end of July, with the main objective of moving the party into a transitional period and electing a temporary collective governing body, Deputy Chair Levan Sanikidze has said.
Sanikidze noted the discussions are currently underway within the party over the composition of the temporary body, which will assume the main responsibilities previously exercised by the political leadership.
The party will subsequently prepare for an election to choose a new chair, in which all interested candidates will be able to participate.
