Georgia and Singapore have significant potential to expand cooperation in finance, investment and technology, the head of Georgia's government administration, Levan Zhorzholiani, said on Wednesday following Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's meetings with Singapore's leadership.
Speaking in Singapore, Zhorzholiani said Kobakhidze and the Georgian delegation had held talks with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and President Tharman Shanmugaratnam focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation.
He said both countries serve as financial and logistics hubs in their respective regions, creating opportunities for closer partnership.
Zhorzholiani said Singapore's experience in developing financial institutions and information technology could be valuable for Georgia, particularly in attracting investment.
He added that Georgia offered a favourable business environment, citing what he described as low taxes, a business-friendly regulatory framework and a stable environment that helps attract foreign investment.
