March of Unity underway in Tbilisi demanding gov't resignation, release of detainees

A protest march under the slogan "Resign the Illegitimate Government" is taking place in Tbilisi today, starting from Isani Metro Station and heading toward Kakheti Highway.

Participants of the "March of Unity" are calling for the resignation of the Georgian government and the release of citizens they say were unlawfully detained during recent protests.

The march includes family members of detained protesters, civil activists, political party representatives, and ordinary citizens.

Organizers say the demonstration is a continuation of daily resistance against what they describe as an illegitimate regime and demand justice for victims of state repression.
