Minor found with over 50 stab wounds in Marneuli, one arrested

A shocking case has been reported in Georgia’s Marneuli municipality, where a minor was found with more than 50 stab wounds. Local media, including Radio Marneuli, report that the incident occurred in the village of Zemo Kulari.

The incident occured on July 10, though relatives say they were only able to locate the victim several hours ago. The injured minor was immediately transferred to a local clinic in Marneuli, where they are currently in intensive care. Doctors are reportedly fighting to save the minor’s life.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has confirmed that an investigation has been launched under Articles 19-109 of the Georgian Criminal Code, which pertains to attempted premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances.

According to authorities, one suspect has already been detained in connection with the case. No further details have been released at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
