Mother and child found dead after drowning in western Georgia

The bodies of a young woman and her seven-year-old child have been recovered from the Khobistskali River in western Georgia's Khobi Municipality after an apparent drowning incident.

According to available information, the woman entered the river in an attempt to save her child but also drowned.

Rescue teams first recovered the body of the seven-year-old child before later locating the mother's body.
