Medvedev applauds Trump’s confrontation with Zelenskyy

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev weighed in on the heated White House meeting between Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, praising Trump for what he called a well-deserved “slap down” of the Ukrainian leader.

“The insolent pig finally got a proper slap down in the Oval Office. And @realDonaldTrump is right: The Kiev regime is ‘gambling with WWIII,’” Medvedev posted on X.

Medvedev’s statement echoes Trump’s own remarks after the meeting, in which the former US president accused Zelenskyy of disrespecting the United States and being unwilling to pursue peace. Trump claimed that Zelenskyy sees US involvement as leverage in negotiations rather than a path to ending the war.
