Dmitry Medvedev, the Deputy Chair of the Russian Security Council, on Wednesday said Russia would not accept NATO troops in Ukraine under the guise of “peacekeeping forces”.
“The brainless Gallic rooster can't let go of the idea of sending troops to 'Ukraine.' It's been explicitly stated: No NATO troops as peacekeepers. Russia will not accept such a "security guarantee". But the hoarse, pathetic bird continues to crow to prove it's king of the coop”, he said in a social media post.
Earlier French President Emmanuel Macron suggested that a ‘Coalition of the Willing', led by France and the United Kingdom, could deploy auxiliary forces on land, at sea, and in the air in Ukraine as part of future security arrangements.
