Georgian UFC champion Merab Dvalishvili has returned home following his recent fight, where he successfully defended his title. Speaking to local media, Dvalishvili emphasized his pride in representing Georgia on the global stage - even mentioning the country in the presence of US President Donald Trump, who was among the high-profile attendees at the event.
"I defended my belt, and I am always happy to return home," Dvalishvili said. "Everything is ahead, and I am not going to stop. I mentioned Georgia and confirmed my respect for myself and my country. I think it was a good fight — he [Trump] liked my fight."
The fighter expressed his determination to continue his career, highlighting that he was still developing and has more to give. "I promise you that I will give my best, while I have the strength and am still growing," he said.
Dvalishvili is currently in Georgia for a one-week visit. Afterward, he plans to travel to Azerbaijan to attend an upcoming UFC event.
