Georgia deports 102 foreigners in migration enforcement operation

Georgia has deported 102 foreign nationals following a series of migration enforcement operations carried out in recent days, the Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.

The ministry said the operation was conducted by its Migration Department in close coordination with other Interior Ministry units.

Those deported included nationals of Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, India, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Thailand, the Philippines, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, Lebanon, Nigeria, China, Kazakhstan and several other countries.

Under the law, all of those deported have also been barred from re-entering Georgia, the ministry said.
