Georgia has deported 107 foreign nationals in recent days as part of measures carried out by the Interior Ministry’s Migration Department, the ministry said on Tuesday.
The deportees were citizens of Jordan, India, Egypt, Lebanon, Algeria, the Philippines, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Russia, China, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Thailand and other countries.
The ministry said the deportations were carried out in coordination with relevant Interior Ministry units as part of a series of operations by the Migration Department.
Under Georgian law, all those deported have also been banned from re-entering the country.
The Migration Department has deported nearly 3,300 foreign nationals from Georgia since the beginning of this year.
