Georgia expels 15 foreign nationals for illegal migration

Fifteen foreign nationals have been expelled from Georgia as part of a coordinated operation targeting illegal migration, the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs announced on Thursday.
The deportations were carried out in recent days by the Migration Department in collaboration with other relevant units of the ministry, the body said.
The individuals, who were found to be residing in Georgia without legal grounds, came from a range of countries, including Turkey, Nigeria, Turkmenistan, China, India, Jordan, Egypt, Romania, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Iran, and Russia.
Authorities confirmed that all 15 individuals have been banned from re-entering the country under current Georgian legislation.
