83 foreign nationals expelled from Georgia in latest crackdown on illegal migration

Georgia has expelled 83 foreign nationals in recent days as part of an ongoing campaign against illegal migration, the Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.

The expulsions were carried out by the ministry’s Migration Department in coordination with other relevant units.

Those expelled included citizens of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, Russia, Ethiopia, Egypt, Iraq, India, Burundi, Pakistan, Kenya, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, Jordan, Nigeria, Armenia, Uzbekistan, China and other countries.

The Interior Ministry said the individuals were banned from re-entering Georgia in accordance with the country’s legislation.

The ministry said it was continuing measures against illegal migration. More than 3,000 people have been expelled from Georgia by the Migration Department since the beginning of 2026.
