Georgian President, FM attend reception ahead of Winter Olympics

President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili have attended a reception hosted by International Olympic Committee President Kirsty Coventry.

During the event, Kavelashvili and Botchorishvili met with leaders from various countries, including US Vice President J.D. Vance and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, with discussions focusing on the shared values between Georgia and the United States.

President Kavelashvili is also scheduled to attend a dinner hosted by Italian President Sergio Mattarella in honor of heads of state present at the opening ceremony of the 25th Winter Olympic Games.
