Kavelashvili is expected to attend the team figure skating competition to support Georgian athletes

Georgia’s President, Mikheil Kavelashvili, has travelled to Milan on a working visit, accompanied by his wife Tamar Bagrationi and an official delegation, to attend the opening ceremony of the 25th Winter Olympic Games.

The main opening ceremony event will take place at Milan’s San Siro Olympic Stadium.

The visit will also include meetings with Georgia’s Olympic delegation participating in the Games, the President’s press office said on Thursday. 

Kavelashvili is expected to attend the team figure skating competition to support Georgian athletes.

Georgia will be represented by eight athletes at the 25th Winter Olympic Games.
