Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has said the heads of leading international organisations gave positive assessments of Georgia's development and reaffirmed their willingness to deepen cooperation with the country during a series of high-level meetings in Geneva.
Summarising his visit, Kavelashvili said the meetings demonstrated that Georgia remains "a reliable and predictable state" for its international partners.
The President said discussions with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, as well as the heads of the World Health Organization and the World Trade Organization, focused on Georgia's economic performance, its peace-oriented policies and its growing role as a key logistics hub in the South Caucasus as part of the Middle Corridor trade route.
Kavelashvili said the meetings highlighted Georgia's economic achievements and the country's strategic importance in regional connectivity.
The President also reviewed discussions held during the United Nations-hosted Global Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Governance, stressing that rapid technological advances make international coordination, cooperation and responsible governance increasingly important.
He said AI governance should take into account security considerations and national interests, adding that Georgia is prepared to play an active role in international discussions and initiatives in the field.
Kavelashvili also said Georgia is interested in hosting similar international forums in the future as part of its engagement on global technology and governance issues.
