Georgian President meets Azerbaijani Ambassador for introductory meeting

President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Faig Guliyev.
According to the President’s Administration, both sides positively assessed the strong and friendly relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan and discussed key areas of their strategic partnership.
The meeting emphasized the importance of ensuring peace and stability in the region. President Kavelashvili highlighted that in the context of ongoing global conflicts, trade wars, and geopolitical tensions, maintaining regional peace and stability has become even more critical.
Both parties expressed readiness to further enhance the exemplary strategic cooperation between the two countries. President Kavelashvili also thanked the Azerbaijani side for its firm support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The meeting also covered details of the President of Georgia’s upcoming official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, scheduled for April 15–16.
