Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I arrives in Georgia for Patriarch Ilia II’s funeral

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I has arrived in Georgia to attend the funeral of Ilia II All Georgia.

The Ecumenical Patriarch will participate in the funeral service at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi, alongside Metropolitan Shio and members of the Holy Synod.

Patriarch Ilia II will be laid to rest today at Sioni Cathedral.
