Georgian Gov’t allocates over ₾2.5 mln for Guria disaster relief in country’s west

The Government of Georgia has allocated 2,569,048 GEL from its Reserve Fund to support recovery efforts in the Guria region following a natural disaster in February.

According to an official decree, the funds will be distributed among all three municipalities in the region. Ozurgeti Municipality will receive 1,228,062 GEL, Chokhatauri Municipality 794,968 GEL, and Lanchkhuti Municipality 546,018 GEL.

The decree, signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, “aims to mitigate the impact of the disaster and support affected communities”. The Government Administration confirmed the allocation, emphasizing the state’s commitment to addressing urgent local needs.
