French Member of the European Parliament Natalie Loiseau has expressed solidarity with Georgian demonstrators, emphasizing their unwavering determination to secure a European future despite government repression.

In a social media post, Loiseau highlighted the persistence of protests in Tbilisi and other cities across Georgia, sparked by widespread dissatisfaction with the recent parliamentary election results and the government’s decision to halt EU accession talks until 2028.

“Despite repression, demonstrators in Tbilisi and other cities across Georgia continue their protests. The Georgian people reject the election results and refuse to accept the theft of their European future,” Loiseau wrote.

The protests, now in their fourth day, have seen thousands of Georgians taking to the streets, demanding transparency, accountability, and adherence to the country’s pro-European course.
