Georgia hosts NATO military police battalion exercise SHARP LYNX 2026

Georgia’s Defence Ministry is hosting SHARP LYNX 2026, a computer-assisted exercise involving the NATO Multinational Military Police Battalion, with the opening ceremony held at the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Centre (JTEC).

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief of the Defence Forces, Major General Irakli Chichinadze, Head of the Military Police Department, Major General Shalva Shengelia, and JTEC Commander Colonel Davit Gagua, who wished participants success in the exercise.

The exercise is being conducted under the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP) and is designed to further improve interoperability, staff procedures, coordination and command-and-control capabilities in a multinational environment.

Military police representatives from Georgia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Hungary are taking part.
