MP Samkharadze says Georgia has ‘good dynamic’ with new US Administration

Georgia has a “quite good dynamic” in relations with the new US administration and the newly appointed US chargé d'affaires in Georgia, Amy Diaz, can contribute to further progress, parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee Chair Nikoloz Samkharadze said on Friday.

Samkharadze said it was important for the United States to have a representative in Georgia and wished the diplomat success in her work.

He expressed hope that the chargé d'affaires would play a role in advancing a new strategic partnership agreement between Georgia and the United States.

“We have a quite good dynamic in relations with the new administration of the United States. Therefore, I hope the new diplomat will contribute to this dynamic,” Samkharadze said.
