Georgian parliamentary committee chair meets Belarus ambassador

The chair of the Georgian parliament's Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, met Belarusian Ambassador Nikolai Rogashchuk on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and parliamentary cooperation, according to the Georgian parliament's press office.

The meeting was also attended by Irakli Kadagishvili, head of the Georgia-Belarus parliamentary friendship group.

According to the parliament, the discussions focused on relations between the two countries and cooperation in trade and economic affairs.

The two sides agreed to continue promoting cooperation between the Georgian and Belarusian parliaments, including through their respective friendship groups.

Samkharadze thanked the ambassador for Belarus' support for Georgia's territorial integrity, the parliament press office said.
