Georgia and Azerbaijan are strategic partners, key pillars of Middle Corridor, Vice Speaker

Georgia and Azerbaijan are not only neighbours but also strategic partners, and their close cooperation is a key factor behind the effective operation of the Middle Corridor, Georgian Parliament Vice Speaker Nino Tsilosani said during a visit to Azerbaijan on Friday.

“Our two states are not only neighbours; we are good partners and, in fact, strategic partners. Our good cooperation is the foundation for the Middle Corridor to operate smoothly and very actively,” Tsilosani said.

She stressed geopolitical challenges had further highlighted the importance of the Middle Corridor and created additional opportunities for both countries to support economic development.

Tsilosani also highlighted the importance of coordinated positions between Tbilisi and Baku, saying that standing together and presenting common positions strengthens the two countries’ shared interests.
