One sentenced to 10 years in prsion for high-profile murder case of a minor in 2017

Giorgi Menabde has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for a high profile murder case of David Saralidze back in 2017. 

 

As Menabde was a minor when the incident took place, the term has been decreased to 10 years in six months. 

 

He was charged with premediated murder last year. 

 

Saralidze and another minor Levan Dadunashvili were killed in central Tbilisi in December 2017. 

 

Two individuals have been convicted in the case.

 

One, Mikheil Kalandia, is still in prison, while another Giorgi Janashia was released from prison in 2020 via a plea bargain after he admitted to the crime and cooperated with the investigation.
