Paata Manjgaladze, a leader of the political party Strategy Agmashenebeli, denied any involvement in a planned attempt to overthrow the government on October 4 during a recent court hearing.
Manjgaladze told the court that he is a politician who was exercising his right to make public political statements and that there is no evidence linking him to any organized plot. He argued that videos and photos showing him at demonstrations do not prove criminal intent.
“I was at the rally with the people. There is no proof that I organized anything or participated in a conspiracy,” Manjgaladze said. He also emphasized that no minors were involved and that his actions were entirely political.
The prosecution is investigating allegations against several opposition figures related to recent demonstrations, including claims of planning to overthrow the government. Manjgaladze maintains that he merely participated in public political events.
