PM Garibashvili: military attack on Ukraine unacceptable

Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili has responded to Russia’s move to invade Ukraine and stated that ‘military attack on a sovereign country is unacceptable.’ 

“We call on the international community to apply all possible measures to stop blatant violation of international order by Russia and avoid further military escalation,” Garibashvili said, noting that Georgia stands by Ukraine. 

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has also stated that the Georgian nation is shocked by Russia’s aggression in Ukraine.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the developments and stated that Russia’s actions in Ukraine harm the whole international community.
