Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili says that the government has opened the Turkish market to decrease the medication price in the country.

It is expected that the price will decrease for about 200 GMP medications.

Garibashvili maintained that the price for one and the same medication in the Georgian and Turkish market ‘seriously differs.’

“For instance, if the cost of a medication is 10 GEL in Georgia it’s price in Turkey is one or two GEL,” Garibashvili said earlier today.

The decree has already entered into play.

Garibashvili also said that the Competition Agency has completed work on the survey about the country’s pharmacological field.

He stated that the survey will push a range of changes to the law which will further decrease prices for medication.
