Police arrest one for insulting the mother of ex-pres. Saakashvili

Police have arrested an individual for petty hooliganism and disobedience to law enforcer officers on Friday, in the wake of assaulting Giuli Alasania, mother of imprisoned former president Mikheil Saakashvili. 

The incident took place adjacent to Vivamedi civilian clinic in Tbilisi, where Saakashvili has been undergoing treatment since May. 

The third president was arrested in Tbilisi in October 2021, after eight years in political exile and serving his six-year-term for abuse of power while in office.
