Georgian police have arrested two people, including one foreign national, on charges of illegally acquiring and possessing particularly large quantities of drugs and facilitating their sale, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.
Officers from the Old Tbilisi Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department detained the two suspects at different times, according to the ministry.
During searches of the suspects and a residential property, as well as through other investigative measures, police seized particularly large quantities of drugs allegedly prepared for distribution, including Alpha-PVP and methadone.
Investigators also seized materials and equipment allegedly used for packaging the drugs.
