Police have arrested three people in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi, including two Ukrainian nationals, on charges of illegally purchasing, possessing and facilitating the distribution of an especially large quantity of narcotics, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said on Friday.
The Ministry said officers from the Vake-Saburtalo Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department seized large quantities of ready-for-sale Alpha-PVP and mephedrone during searches of the suspects’ persons, temporary residences and other locations.
Police also confiscated materials allegedly used for packaging narcotics.
The alleged offences are punishable by up to 20 years or life imprisonment if convicted.
